Don't fuss with the game while it is Generating. The important thing is to let it do its thing. Granted Ram is a huge factor of the Gen tool. I made a 10k map in just under 10 minutes. You may get more bells and whistles with the Nitro Map gen tool, A20's is not bad these days for a quick Gen. As for the A20 random Generation, I think the latest version works just fine.
